The palms in the courtyard of the Fairwinds Alumni Center needed to be removed due to a disease that had attacked them. These palms were replaced with six Caranday Palms, a species that is more disease resistant. The palms were planted in the planter boxes within the Fairwinds Alumni courtyard.
